“#1 Steelers Hater” This man is the number one Steelers hater in Erie and is proud of it. Out of his large group of friends, he was the one willing to be photographed to let his hate for the Steelers be known.
“Gracefully Pink” Grace was happy and boisterous to get her photograph taken. She made it obvious to me right away, through conversation and her clothing, that her favorite color is pink. She got her favorite pink shirt down in Pittsburgh.
“Stoic Stranger” This man wasn’t a man of many words. He was getting some sun outside of the Richford Arms Apartments and allowed me to photograph him with a simple head nod. When I wished him goodbye, I received another nod of the head as a farewell.
“Sam Baker” Sam was walking through Frontier Park and was more than happy to get her photograph taken. She was especially willing to get her photograph taken when she learned I go to Edinboro and told me that she has friends who go to Edinboro and study in the art majors.
“Jessica” Jessica and her husband were taking their baby on a stroller ride around Presque Isle when I approached her. She was happy to get her photograph taken and knew exactly where she wanted it to be taken. In front of Lake Erie.
“Biking Beloved’s “ This husband and wife were packing up their bikes just before I photographed them. They told me that when the weather is good, they try and go on a bike ride around Presque Isle together at least once a week.
“Retired Beachgoer “ This gentleman was at the beach with his wife, collecting beach rocks for their garden. He told me about his three children who graduated from California and Clarion, and he and his wife were happy to give me their opinions on the PennWest merger.
“Bench Brother’s” These two men were relaxing, drinking some beers on a bench in Perry Square. They were hesitant at first to get their photographs taken but gained some confidence once they realized their looks and style deserved to be photographed. They were adamant about being photographed together because they were family.
“Mother and Son” The man in this photograph was walking his dog around when I asked to take his photograph. He accepted but quickly sat down next to his mother, who was sitting on a bench nearby, wanting her to be part of the photo as well.
“Proud Father” This father was sitting at a bench in Frontier Park, calmly watching his son participate in a track meet. I asked to photograph him because he looks so calm and happy watching his son. He gladly obliged.
